Long and Kees collection, 1882-1965.

Included in the collection are volumes of structural calculations (1902-3), financial details of commissions (1885-1931), and specifications for many Twin Cities buildings: Minneapolis City Hall and Court House (62 volumes, 1894-1907); Minneapolis Gas Light Co. (1902); Minneapolis Threshing Machine Co. (1901); Kasota Block (1883); Radisson Hotel (1908-09); Minneapolis City Hospital (1911-13) and other stores and residences. Also included are original drawings for the Flour Exchange (1892-1909), the Corn Exchange (1889-97), blueprints for the Medical Arts Building of Minneapolis (1928-29), interior remodeling plans of the Lumber Exchange (1920) and the Guy Thomas Store (1912). Miscellaneous items include pen and ink drawings by Louis L. Long, articles and clippings, a notebook containing cost data on Long and Kees commissions, a project list (to 1960) of Long and Kees and successors' structures. Bids and proposals for the Mpls. City Hall, a book of boat drawings by F.B. Long and clippings and reports by and about the firm are also included.
